PSITest is a software tool that assesses a person's psychic capabilities. It allows for the measurement of various psychic abilities, providing valuable insight into an individual's unique talents and strengths.
The PSI Test consists of three unique tests. The first test is the Precognitive or "PreCog" test, in which users are asked to enter a number in a box. After clicking next, the computer generates a random number between 1 and 100 to test the user's ability to see what will happen. The second test is the postcognitive or "PostCog" test, where users enter their number in a box after a randomly generated number between 1 and 100. This measures the user's ability to see what has happened. The final test is the Random word test, which is similar to the second test, but with words instead of numbers to increase the difficulty level and lower the number of "lucky guesses."
It is important to note that this test is not scientifically controlled, and individual results may have been tampered with. Consequently, your results may or may not reflect accurate measurements. Although this version of the application is not suitable for clinical use, a clinical version is under development and will be available later in 2006. As for the results of the test, they will not be made public until 2006 as this version of the PSI Test is only meant to gather information.
During the test, users will not be able to see whether or not they have guessed correctly to prevent discouragement and giving up before finishing. Completion is necessary to submit results. The test takes a long time, so patience is essential. Users are also not required to submit results, but if they do, it should be done only once. The more questions a user answers, the less chance favors them in terms of a random guess.
To view their results and other users' results, users can use their control number obtained from the first screen or by accessing the PSI Test menu and selecting the View Control Number option. For the record, the PSI test does not represent a belief of FOR neXtSoft in the paranormal. It is merely an experiment in an area of interest where there seems to be no other similar applications.
The test results do not rate anyone taking the test as psychic or not, but there are expectations for the test based on experiments done beforehand. Non-Psychics are expected to score between 1-3%, while psychics score 6-9% in each category and between 1-1.5% overall or 6-7% for Non-Psychics and psychics, respectively.
There are two possible issues with the test: the placebo effect and the hacking or tampering of the system. The placebo effect, where users hope or focus on the machine doing a random task, may influence its results. The other issue is that hackers may tamper with the results, considering there are always people looking to cause problems. Overall, the PSI Test is not a clinical study, but a unique experiment that may help in studying psychic abilities.
