Puzzle Blocks is a cross-platform puzzle game compatible with Linux and Windows operating systems.
The game has evolved over time, starting as "Turt's Breakdown" with no blocks initially. Once the blocks were introduced, a need for a new name arose and a host of mini-games came into the design. As of the Beta release, Turt's Puzzle Blocks embodies the original idea of "Turt's Breakdown," with many plans for future expansions.
Using KDevelop 2.1 under Linux Redhat 9.0, Turt's Puzzle Blocks is created with SDL libraries. SDL was chosen as it is a multi-platform library, convenient for seamless development between operating systems. The SDL main library provides support for the windows and the display, while two additional libraries - SDL_image and SDL_Mixer - allow for Alpha blending and clean graphics in PNG and TGA file formats, and play sounds and background music, respectively.
Overall, Turt's Puzzle Blocks is a visually appealing and well-coordinated software, available on different platforms and incorporating fun and engaging mini-games.
