pyBallistics is a small arms ballistics program that helps calculate ballistic coefficients and simulate bullet trajectories through graphical interfaces.
pyBallistics is continuously working on improvements and new features. The upcoming release will have a Ballistic Coefficient Calculator, SQL based Bullet database, and print/save functions. The software requires a python installation of version 2.5 or higher. However, python versions lower than 2.5 may also work. You need to have pyQT installed on your system to use the software.
To install the software, ensure that python version 2.5 or higher is installed on your system along with pyQT 4.3. You can untar the pyBallistics tarball with the command "tar -zvxf pyballistics.tar.gz" and step into pyBallistics. Finally, run the pyballistics.sh script to use the software.
