PyHyphen is a wrapper for the Python programming language around the Open Source C library 'hyphen-2.3' originally from hnjlib. PyHyphen is widely used in software such as OpenOffice.org and Mozilla.

PyHyphen also contains textwrap2, an enhanced though backwards-compatible version of the standard Python module textwrap. Not very surprisingly, textwrap2 is capable of hyphenating words when wrapping them.
