PySCTP enables Python to utilize SCTP transport protocol.
As of its initial 0.1 release, PySCTP is still in the alpha stage of development. While the software has passed its own internal tests, it has not yet been rigorously tested in a "real-world" environment or used in heavier lab-based scenarios. As such, it is still considered experimental in nature, and users should exercise caution when incorporating PySCTP into their projects.
The current version of PySCTP has been tested exclusively on Linux, specifically against the Linux Kernel SCTP version 1.0.1 and kernel versions 2.6.10 and 2.6.11. However, the software's developers are actively seeking feedback from users on other operating systems, and are committed to making PySCTP portable to as many platforms as possible.
This latest release of PySCTP includes almost all functions of the Draft 10 SCTP API specification, as well as several code cleanups, small bugfixes, and API changes (primarily in constant names).
