Linux OS designed for children, featuring a user-friendly interface and age-appropriate programming tools.
One of the most notable things about Qimo is its interface design. It has been specifically engineered to be incredibly easy to use and intuitive for children. All of the installed games are presented with large and clear icons so that even the youngest of users will have no problem selecting the activity they want to engage with.
If you are looking to try out Qimo, there is a specific process to follow. You will need to burn the ISO file to a CD-R/CD-RW as a CD Image. Certain CD burning software can complete this task, but others cannot. If your software cannot do this, you can obtain a free program that will enable you to burn the image.
Once the CD has been created, you can simply leave it in the CD drive and reboot your computer. When Qimo first boots, you will have the option of trying it from the CD or installing it to your computer. Opting to try it from the CD is the easiest way to test Qimo and it means that nothing on your computer will be altered. If you remove the CD after testing, then everything will be exactly as it was before. However, it is worth noting that the operating system will run slightly slower if you choose to test Qimo in this way.
