Convert QT formats like AAC to AIFF with the help of QTConvert software.
The GUI application is the main component of the app. Copy it to your /Applications folder and start selecting your files and convert them to any available format. If you install the Ogg Vorbis component, you can also import, export, and play OGG files. You can also use the app as a drop target and easily do batch conversions by placing the app in your dock.
The second part of QTConvert is an iTunes AppleScript. You can simply place this script into your ~/Library/QuickTime folder and restart iTunes to get a script icon in your iTunes menu. With this, you can select one or more songs and batch process them from iTunes. After conversion, you have to reimport them again into iTunes.
The third part of the app is a Contextual Menu Item that allows you to right-click on one or more files in the Finder and send them to QTConvert to batch process. This feature is very convenient for users who want to process multiple files at once.
In the latest release, many thanks to Jonathan Barnette for the new QTConvert logo. Also, the developer has fixed a bug related to the file name extension of the exported files. Finally, the developer has attempted to address some compatibility issues with OS X 10.2.8. Namely, it was broken on 10.2.8 but should be fixed now.
Overall, QTConvert is a great and easy-to-use app that helps users convert their files in different formats quickly and efficiently.
