QtDSO is a user interface tool designed to work with Velleman PCS64i digital oscilloscopes. It provides an easy-to-use platform for users to control and monitor waveform data generated by the oscilloscope.
However, it is important to note that if you experience any problems with your scope at home, it is advised not to use QtDSO. The responsibility for any hardware damage is not assumed by the software or developer. The software is essentially "works for me" software, where its intended performance is based on the developer's usage and experience, and is quite stable.
Although the software still requires some improvements, it does its job quite effectively. It is distributed under the terms of the GNU Public License, version 2.
The developer would like to extend special thanks to Martin Bammer for providing valuable information on how to read data from the opto coupler part, where the manual did not provide any schematic. The developer would also like to thank Velleman for sharing detailed information.
To use QtDSO, the system requirements include Qt-3.x, libieee1284, libfftw3, and gcc. In the latest release, the missing µ character in the GUI has been fixed.
