QuickSpell is a spell checking tool that integrates with desktop applications to monitor typing and detect spelling errors in real-time.
Once installed, QuickSpell spell checks HTML forms, edit boxes, dialogs, word processing applications, and more automatically, without you lifting a finger. QuickSpell also displays a live indicator that can be found close to the window cursor. This feature displays whether or not the current word being typed is spelled correctly or not.
For those who want more options, QuickSpell comes with some nifty customizable features. Pressing [Ctrl]+S provides users with a list of instant suggestions in a popup menu. If you select a highlighted block of text, you can press [Ctrl]+T to check the spelling of the selected section. However, users should note that these features may not work in every application since they rely on other keys, such as [Ctrl]+Ins, [Shift]+Ins, and the delete key to work as expected.
To make QuickSpell even more personalized, users can take advantage of the [Ctrl]+E to customize settings on a per-application basis. With support for contractions, a live status indicator, sound notification for misspelled words, spell checking highlighted text, foreign language support with an internet download, custom "User" dictionaries, and fully configurable hotkey support, QuickSpell is the ultimate utility for improving your writing.
To get started with QuickSpell, users must have Windows 95/98, ME, Windows NT, 2K, XP*, and MS Windows Installer (MSI Engine).
