Quixhibit is a versatile Windows software that creates image galleries suitable for web publishing, CD compilation, etc. It offers a range of user-friendly tools, such as spell checker, an FTP client, and context-sensitive help, for an enriching user experience.
This software is specifically designed for image galleries that require text for images and folders, and offers the option to add captions and annotations for each folder and image, as well as an exhibit title and page footer. The integrated spell checker helps verify spelling, and there is even support for a user-defined dictionary.
Quixhibit lets you rotate images during the exhibit generation process, allowing you to rotate exhibit images 90 degrees left or right, or 180 degrees. Additionally, you can crop images to show just part of an image, and drop shadows can be added to create a 3D effect. Various styles can be used to create an exhibit, and thumbnails can be presented in a page of columns and rows, or in a page frame as a scrolling navigator bar.
Instead of thumbnails, text links can be used, and changing the background color or using a background image can significantly enhance the appearance of an exhibit. Quixhibit allows you to apply HTML formatting attributes to arrange the thumbnail and image pages in various ways.
Quixhibit includes an integrated FTP client that can transfer an exhibit to a remote web host. The FTP client can store configurations for multiple remote hosts, and the transfer filter makes updating remote exhibits much faster. Other integrated tools include file name re-sequencing, setting file names to lower case, and resetting exhibit text to default font attributes.
For exhibit CD's, Quixhibit will even generate auto-run files so that the exhibit will automatically start when inserted into a CD-ROM. Comprehensive context-sensitive help is included, making Quixhibit a great value for anyone in need of quick, easy and customizable image gallery generation!
