RadioList-mplayer is a basic software tool that can save a list of available radio stream URLs and play them with mplayer.
INSTALLATION:
To install this software, simply uncompress the .tar.gz file and place it in any directory of your choice. Once complete, open Superkaramba and select 'Add Local Theme'. Look for the .theme file you recently decompressed and add it to your desktop.
USAGE:
With RadioList-mplayer, you can easily add your preferred radio streaming urls using the '+' button. A line edit box will appear, allowing you to type in a short name that will be displayed in the list of radios. Then, simply type in the corresponding streaming url and press enter. Your added radio will be stored in the list.
Features of RadioList-mplayer include the ability to play any radio by simply clicking on its name. Alternatively, you can click the middle button and select the 'play' option. Additionally, you can use the 'stop' button to stop the currently playing stream. If you wish to remove a radio from the list, click on it with the middle button and select 'remove'. If you want to edit the information associated with a stored url, simply click it with the middle button and select 'edit'.
WARNING:
While this software has been thoroughly tested and seems to function well, there is a possibility that it may contain bugs. If you encounter any problems with RadioList-mplayer, please report it here so that we can promptly address the issue. In the event that the program hangs (check cpu usage), simply type 'killall superkaramba' in a terminal window and report the problem to our team.
NOTE:
Although RadioList-mplayer functions as a playlist for mplayer and is capable of playing any file that mplayer can handle, its usage is primarily intended for online radio management. As it is designed to play online radio streaming urls, it will not continue on to the next file in the list after a radio stream has stopped (as it is assumed that the radio stream will not stop until a user requests that it do so).
REQUIREMENTS:
To use RadioList-mplayer, you must have both mplayer and Superkaramba installed on your system.
