Railz is an RTS game, modeled after Railroad Tycoon, that puts players in charge of managing a railway empire.
One of the most interesting things about Railz is its client-server architecture, which allows for multiplayer games. To play, you'll need JDK 1.4.2 or later, and you can either compile from the src directory, or run "java org/railz/launcher/Launcher" to start the game.
There have been some recent updates, including new graphics for the Norris and Grasshopper trains, a train status icon, and fixes for a number of bugs. However, there are still some bugs that need to be addressed, such as missing accelerators in the Help and Build menus, train schedule dialog scaling issues, and a memory leak in the networking code.
Despite these outstanding issues, Railz is an exciting game that offers a lot of potential for railway management enthusiasts. Keep an eye out for future updates as the developers work to improve the game.
