RealPoker is a software designed to simulate the popular card game of poker. It allows users to play against computer-generated opponents in a virtual setting, providing an experience that closely resembles real-life gameplay.
Before installing the software, users need to have GTK+ version 2.10.x installed on their device. If a directory named ".RP" does not exist in the HOME directory, users need to create it manually.
The player library file format has changed since the previous version, so users need to delete the "players.lib" file in the ".RP" directory before installation. To install the software, users need to run "make" and "make install" commands as the superuser in the src directory. If installation fails, users can contact customer support for further assistance.
RealPoker will be installed in "/usr/local/bin," and the data will be stored in "/usr/local/share/RP." The location of the data cannot be changed unless users modify the source code.
Optional installation of the games.lib file, which contains seven Stud, five Stud, Hold'em, and Draw, requires users to copy the file to the .RP directory they previously created. Finally, users can run Real Poker by entering the command "realpoker" or "rp."
The new version of RealPoker has several new features, improvements, and bug fixes. It now includes traits for robot players such as adjusting play to the number of players in a game and position at the table. Moreover, users can now fill in cards to simulate specific gameplay. The user manual and Player Library format have been updated, and minor improvements and bug fixes have been implemented.
