This desktop organizer for Windows (XP/Vista/7) helps you save time navigating on your PC. With one click, it provides easy access to the folders you use the most. Try it for free as freeware trial.
Once you have the desktop utility running, you will see colorful and prominent shortcuts to the folders you are working in on your desktop. These red folder shortcuts are updated every minute, representing the names of the folders they are pointing to, along with the name of the parent folder.
If you find that the system shows folders that you do not want or are not aware of, simply ban shortcuts from your desktop. You can do so by selecting 'send to' and choosing 'add to banned Red Folders list' when you right-click on a folder. This will remove the folder from your desktop and prevent it from appearing again.
If you need to retrieve a banned folder, you can do so by right-clicking on the red folder symbol in the system tray and selecting 'edit banned folders list'. From there, you can edit the ban list and delete the line with the folder you want to retrieve. The list saves automatically upon closing, guaranteeing the folder will reappear the next time you use it.
Although the evaluation version is fully functional freeware, it will start displaying annoying messages after running for one hour. For a very reasonable price, you can purchase the real version at www.redfolders.de. Enjoy seamless navigation and productivity with Dr. Axel Benz Red Folders!
