Rembassy is an open source server monitoring system framework that provides the base architecture for developers to build upon.
In addition, LyX 1.3.2 is required, while some optional requirements include Autoconf 2.57, Automake 1.7, sed 4.0.6, and tex4ht 2002-05-12 (t4ht 2002-02-01). However, the latest versions of tex4ht have been found to not work well with Rembassy docs. These optional requirements are only necessary if you want the HTML documentation version or if you use the CVS sources.
The latest release includes the Rembassy daemon and basic API for the development of plugins. Built-in plugins include the Echo plugin for testing, the Folder plugin for organizing monitoring objects, the FTP plugin, the HTTP plugin, the PING plugin, the PROXY plugin for accessing monitorized servers in a centralized manner, and the Web user interface.
The release also includes SSL support and improvements to build targets. Additionally, many bugs and typos in the documentation have been fixed. With all these features and requirements fulfilled, Rembassy is a solid server monitoring system for those in the open source movement.
