RK-FileSplitter is capable of splitting large files, including those of 5 gigabytes, with ease.
One of the features that I found particularly useful was the ability to split files from 40 KB to several GB. This utility is only limited by your hard disk space! Additionally, you can select the most frequently used file sizes by buttons or custom user-defined sizes.
The pre-calculation numbers of parts are another great feature of this utility. You can set the maximum number of parts to 100, and there's even a progress bar to keep you informed about the split status. You can also define a target folder for part files, and freely configure messages when executing the batch file.
Speaking of the batch file, this utility has a 12-line batch start info, one line of batch info while merging, and one line of batch info at the end of merging. The compatibility of the batch file is switchable between Commandbox and MS-DOS®, with a filename of up to 36 characters or 8 characters, respectively.
The utility also supports special characters in the file name, and you have the option to adjust whether or not the part files delete after recreating the original file. Finally, you can choose whether or not to delete the batch file after recreating the original file.
Overall, I found this file splitting utility to be incredibly useful and easy to use. With a wide range of features, this utility is definitely worth checking out if file splitting is something you need to do frequently.
