Rokyt is a programming language with a focus on simplicity and efficiency. It features fast compilation times and a clean syntax that makes it easy to write and read code. Its features include strong typing, garbage collection, and support for both functional and imperative programming paradigms.
While rokyt is still in the early stages of development, it does work. The two major components of the language are a compiler (known as 'kewc') that translates source files from .kew to .c format and a runtime support library ('libkew') that can be linked with the .o file to produce usable software.
However, the lack of containers for running rokyt code may pose a problem for some users. Containers are software programs that set up and control the environment in which code is executed. They can range from applet containers designed to provide a secure environment for untrusted code to those granting full access to the host machine for trusted applications. Although containers are not currently a part of the rokyt package, they are a priority for future development.
