Transform your PC into a high-performance Gentoo Linux system in under 5 minutes using this software.
Instead, the CoreCD has purposely kept the feature list short to only provide users with the essentials. Some of the features of the CoreCD include a bootable image that is suitable for a CD or USB thumb drive, a text-based installer, basic default networking, and Entropy and Portage are ready for use. The CoreCD is mainly targeted towards advanced users who want maximum control over the features and packages installed on their system.
With Sabayon's Entropy package manager, users can build out their installation based on their exact requirements quickly. Additionally, the CoreCD also enables users to install packages using the Portage package management system, providing more freedom and control over the installed packages.
The CoreCD release is also intended for advanced users who wish to design and publish their own customized Sabayon Linux release using the CoreCD release in combination with Sabayon's Molecule release metatool.
However, note that advanced user skills might be required to implement networking on the CoreCD. While the CoreCD provides simple DHCP networking over wired networks by default, most advanced networking configurations will require the user to configure it themselves, often requiring "chroot-ing" into the CoreCD environment from another Linux environment that already has working networking.
