Safari Helper simplifies browsing by saving currently loaded URLs, changing link colors, removing underlines, and enabling the Debug menu.
With Safari Helper, you can remove link underlines of all links or just visited links, change colors of all links or just visited links, and save URLs (including tabs) that are currently loaded in Safari. Saved URLs can be restored at any time, which is particularly useful if you need to restart or shut down your computer.
But that's not all! Safari Helper also enables the Debug menu, which has some extremely useful options such as importing/exporting bookmarks, changing what web browser Safari identifies itself to sites as, tweaking Safari's security settings, and an Open Page With menu item that lists all the web browsers on your system.
And if you're worried about staying up-to-date, never fear! Safari Helper automatically checks for updates on launch, which can be disabled in Preferences. If you want to check for updates manually, simply choose Check for Updates in the Safari Helper menu.
In order to use Safari Helper, there are a couple of requirements you'll need to meet. First, you'll need BSD Subsystem installed, and second, you'll need GUI Scripting installed (for 10.2 or later). But once you have those in place, you'll wonder how you ever browsed without Safari Helper!
