Safari Scriptpak is a package of scripts designed for use with Safari web browser.
For example, you can easily email a URL from Safari to Entourage. When you use this script, both the page title and URL will be included in the email message. Similarly, you can send a URL from Safari to iChat, with the page title and URL included as well.
If you need to quickly share some selected text with someone on iChat, there's a script for that too. You can easily send copied text from Safari directly to your iChat window.
Safari Scriptpak also includes a handy script for downloading summaries of ABC soap operas from the TV Guide website. With this script, you can quickly get up-to-date on all the latest plot developments.
Another useful script in this package allows you to create a Sticky Note from a web page. The script will save the page title, URL, and some selected text from the page as the content of the note.
If you prefer to use iCal for managing your tasks, there's a script for that too. You can save the page title, URL, and some selected text from Safari as an iCal Todo, making it easy to schedule your tasks and stay organized.
For those times when you need to transfer a page from Internet Explorer to Safari, there's a script to help you with that as well. You can quickly and easily transfer the page and start working with it in Safari.
Additionally, Safari Scriptpak includes a script for creating Internet location files in the Finder, as well as a script for creating new TextEdit documents with the text of a web page. With the "Search for Selection on Google News" script, you can quickly look up news articles related to specific text on a web page.
Finally, the "Six Pack of Sites" script can be used to create and load six windows with six different preselected sites from a list in the script. And if you use BBEdit, the "Apply Current URL to BBEdit Selection" script is a handy tool for adding glossary items and scripts to your work. Overall, Safari Scriptpak is a must-have package for anyone who regularly uses Safari and wants to streamline their workflow.
