SANE Frontends are SANE applications.
This complete package features the following frontends: XSane, QuiteInsane, Kooka, xscanimage, scanlite, FlScan, and a simple scan interface that is integrated into OpenOffice.org. XSane, in particular, is an improved graphical frontend best-suited for scanners that come with a range of enhancements including gamma handling, histogram, stand-alone mode, scan and view, copy utility, fax utility, email utility, GIMP plug-in, and supported platforms that include Unix (Linux, IRIX, AIX, ...) OS/2 version with X11, and Windows 9x/NT/2000 network scanning version.
Another frontend included with the software package is QuiteInsane, a graphical frontend with a user interface that relies on Qt 2.2.x. Additionally, there is Kooka - a KDE frontend that seamlessly works with SANE. The package also contains scanlite, which is a free beta version of a Java frontend using josi, designed for easy navigation. FlScan is another graphical frontend based on FLTK included in the package.
The release of this software includes bug fixes.
