This free AppleScript enables sending selected text from Camino browser to Entourage.
If you choose to create an event or task, the script will prompt you for a start time or due date. You can enter dates in any format you like or leave them blank, but just be aware that if you enter text that can't be deciphered as a date, Entourage will throw an error.
One neat feature of this script is that the new item sent to Entourage will include a reference to the page name, URL, and current date. This is particularly useful if you're working on a research project or just want to keep track of where you found certain information.
The Send Info to Entourage script is easy to install. Just unzip it and move it to the path ~/Library/Scripts/Applications/Camino/ (where the tilde (~) represents your home folder), creating any subfolders that don't already exist. Once you've done that, the script will appear under a "Camino Scripts" heading in your system-wide Script menu when Camino is the frontmost application.
If you use the Send Info to Entourage script frequently, you can even add it to your Camino toolbar for quick access. Just drag it from the "Customize Toolbar" drop-down sheet and you're good to go. Overall, if you're a fan of both Camino and Entourage, the Send Info to Entourage script is definitely worth checking out.
