SerialSniffer is a software that displays data transmitted on one or two serial ports in ASCII and HEX. It offers network connectivity and features like search and replace, logging and trigger functions, a terminal window, and a serial recorder.
Users can also connect two copies of SerialSniffer by network, which creates an even more powerful opportunity to utilize the software. One of the most significant features of SerialSniffer is its ability to use a PC with two serial ports and insert the PC with SerialSniffer in between the two devices.
This feature also allows users to take advantage of the search and replace tool, giving users the ability to change information while in transportation, and even use wildcards if desired. SerialSniffer also provides an extensive range of logging functions that allow users to log ASCII only, HEX only, ASCII and HEX or replace characters 0..31 symbols.
In addition to these features, SerialSniffer also offers a trigger function Terminal window, which replaces the standard terminal program with the custom-made terminal window. This feature also provides an opportunity to upload and download files seamlessly.
Lastly, SerialSniffer can record the received data together with a timestamp for each byte, and users can store the data for later playback. What's even better is that each byte has the same duration and intervals during playback. Overall, SerialSniffer is an excellent software tool that provides users with exceptional data surveillance capabilities.
