Session Directory Tool is a manager that oversees multicast session directory.
SDR will continue to be maintained, albeit on a limited basis, as a core part of the infrastructure for conferencing on the CAIRN testbed network as well as the EC MECCANO project. Numerous enhancements and bug fixes have been contributed by experts like Bill Fenner and Van Jacobson, with security features implemented by Edmund Whelan and Goli Montasser-Kohsari at UCL.
This release has seen the addition of a new 'application' media type for session directories, as well as fixes for byte ordering of headers on intel machines, and IP6 address allocation for unix IP6 stacks. The authentication and encryption code now allows for extra space for IPv6 addresses, and the configure scripts feature added IPv6 flags.
Overall, the Session Directory Tool is a valuable and useful tool for businesses looking for efficient multicast session directory management. The constant updates and improvements ensure that this tool stays up to date with the latest technological advancements, making it a reliable resource for businesses of all types.
