SETEDIT is a user-friendly software that functions as a text editor.
The software supports various operating systems, including DOS or any other OS that can emulate DOS in a decent way, GNU/Linux for i386, Darwin, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, Solaris, and QNX. The editor boasts an intuitive interface that uses windows and mouse. Turbo Vision is used to achieve this.
Some notable features include the ability to run external programs pressing a key or using the menu, projects to group files with some common criteria, undo, and a documentation generator. Additionally, the editor supports many programming languages and formats like C/C++, Java, Perl, and more with a very fast syntax highlight feature.
SETEDIT also allows for seamless support for compressed text files like gzip and bzip2 formats, context-sensitive help systems, code page support, customizable colors, clock, calculator, and tips. Other exciting features include customizable palette of colors, fonts, and even an MP3 player.
The editor also comes with options to configure the debug mode, including local, remote, and running process, the command line options for the program, gdb binary, xterm binary, messages displayed, etc. It also allows for the creation of breakpoints, watchpoints, thread selection, evaluating and modifying data, data window and stack, data watches, disassembler window, and more.
