The shn2make software automates the creation of audio and archive CDs by working with SHN or FLAC audio files and make program.
When using shn2make, the shn and flac file sets are typically accompanied by a .nfo or .txt file that contains the set list and additional information about the files. The software readily finds all the shn or flac files in the current directory and then proceeds to check their md5 checksums. Afterward, it locates the .nfo or .txt files and attempts to determine the song names along with their corresponding disc and track numbers. The software then matches the song names against the available shn/flac files.
Once all files are accounted for and everything makes sense as expected, shn2make creates a Makefile, which can be utilized with the standard "make" utility. Several tedious tasks can be automatically performed on the set of shn or flac files using the Makefile, including archiving the set to CD and encoding all the songs to mp3 with the correct names.
The most recent update to shn2make features the incorporation of wodim, which will be used instead of cdrecord if available.
