Sid generates LL(1) parsers.
One of the best features of Sid is its ability to store language-specific actions separately from the grammar. This means that the software caters to multiple languages in the future without compromising on its quality.
While Sid was designed to be used with lexi, it is also possible to use the software with other similar tools. An excellent example included in the software demonstrates the use of Sid with lex. This feature is especially useful for developers with experience using lex or those who prefer an alternative to lex.
This release of Sid is the first to be released as a stand-alone project. The developers have moved it out of the TenDRA compiler, where it was previously offered as a feature. Users can expect greater stability and flexibility with this latest version of Sid.
