Simple Monitor is a SuperKaramba theme that mimics the "Very Simple Monitors" theme, presenting a simplistic but efficient monitor display.
I appreciate a desktop that is clean and tidy, and Simple Monitor adheres to that aesthetic nicely. This theme displays only the most basic information, and nothing more. The following are some key features of Simple Monitor:
- Processors type
- Processor speed
- Processor load (number and graph, for one proc)
- Processor Temperature
- Amount of ram used/amount of ram
- Amount of swap used/amount of swap
- Amount of HDD space used/amount of HDD space total (for "/root" and "/home")
- HDD temperature (for "/hda", another drive can be added if requested)
- Computer name
- Computer IP
- Network load (up- and download, with values and graph)
- Amount of transferred data through internet (up- and download) since last boot
In this latest release of Simple Monitor, there are several new features to make the user experience more intuitive. For example, the CPU block is now clickable and opens up Processor information. The Memory block opens KsysGuard (a prerequisite for use) to display information on memory usage. The Network block is also clickable and opens your computer's IP settings window. Additionally, there is now a line for your computer's uptime. Finally, the font colors have been changed from black and white to very dark gray and very light gray, resulting in a softer look overall.
Overall, Simple Monitor is an impressive theme that will please those who want a clean, organized desktop. With its many features and intuitive design, it's worth checking out.
