Sivotra trains vocabulary using text files as input.
The software uses the FLTK toolkit library, which ensures the interface is visually appealing and easy to navigate. However, for those who prefer a command-line interface, there is an alternative CLI version available.
Installing and running Sivotra is relatively easy. Users have the option to use the ready-compiled binaries, which come in three different versions: sivotra with a graphical user interface, sivotra_static with a graphical user interface that is statically linked to the FLTK libraries, and sivotra_cli for the command line.
In case the binaries do not work or users prefer to customize the software, it is possible to compile their preferred version. To do so, users need to go to the directory containing the Makefile, delete the existing binaries with the command "$ make clean," and then compile the desired version with "$ make" for sivotra, "$ make sivotra_static" for the significantly larger sivotra_static, or "$ make sivotra_cli" for the CLI version.
Once users have found the version that works best for them, they can copy the executable to ~/bin/sivotra or /usr/bin/sivotra to complete the installation process. Overall, Sivotra is a user-friendly, versatile, and powerful vocabulary training software that can help users improve their language skills effectively.
