The Slast project, previously known as Slasterisk, merges Slax and Asterisk 1.4 to create a live CD project. This software summary is 22 words.
One of the best features of Slax is its modularity. In the near future, we hope to have a repository of user-submitted modules available for you to easily add to your Slax CD. If you are interested in contributing to the Slax community, whether it be by designing websites or creating modules, please reach out to droops (at) gmail to volunteer.
You may be wondering why there is a need for another distribution, and we believe that there are two primary reasons. Firstly, Slax provides an excellent platform for education about Asterisk. Secondly, it is a tool that helps you create custom Asterisk live CDs quickly and easily. The configuration files have been streamlined and rewritten to make it easier for newcomers to get Asterisk working as their top priority.
