SMTP server settings made easy with SmtpSelect. Access and set default SMTP servers with ease.
To use SmtpSelect, you'll need to manually add its toolbar button to Thunderbird's toolbar by going to "Customize..." and selecting it from the options. Once added, the button can be used in both the main mail window as well as the compose mail window, allowing you to quickly select your desired SMTP server.
However, it's important to note that in order for SmtpSelect to work correctly, you must select "Use Default Server" as the "Outgoing Server (SMTP)" for each email account you wish to use with this extension.
SmtpSelect is compatible with Thunderbird versions 1.5 through 3.0, meaning it should work for most users. Additionally, a recent update has ensured compatibility with the latest release of Thunderbird at the time of writing, version 1.5.0.2, as well as the upcoming 3.0a release.
Overall, SmtpSelect is a useful tool that can simplify and streamline the process of setting up default SMTP servers for your email accounts, especially if you use Thunderbird frequently.
