Sohodox is a Windows document management software designed for small offices. It enables users to swiftly create a database of their documents, which can be shared with other Sohodox users or kept private. The software is also equipped with a search function to streamline document retrieval.
Sohodox features a modern MS Outlook-style user interface that most users are already familiar with. Multiple Sohodox users on a network can simultaneously work with the same database, with the option of keeping documents private or sharing them with other Sohodox users on the network. The software allows for easy document management, such as arranging them into folders, attaching text tags to each document, and using Document Types.
The powerful Document Types feature lets users save specific indexing information with each document such as storing Invoice Number, Invoice Date, Invoice Amount with each added Invoice, or storing Sender Name, Date with each added Letter. The OCR feature extracts text from scanned documents making them instantly searchable. With annotation features, users can quickly highlight certain parts of a document and add a note next to it. Stamps can also be added to a document as well as placing a signature on it.
Users can create multiple links between related documents, making it easy to jump from one document to another. For example, an invoice can be linked to a check, or a letter to its reply. The database can also be queried using multi-condition searches such as finding all invoices from ACME Corp. from Jan 2008. Searches can be saved for easy reuse.
Sohodox offers easy migration from applications such as Paperport and concurrent licensing with no activation required. Users also receive one year of free support. Overall, Sohodox offers a robust and user-friendly document management solution for small office environments.
