SolidShare software offers efficient firewall protection and enables easy sharing of Internet connection within your local area network.
Once installed, the software ensures that every user on the network can access the Internet transparently and securely. The built-in firewall provides excellent protection against attacks and prevents any unauthorized access or resource exposure.
SolidShare comes packed with a multitude of features, including wide and expandable application support for DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, FTP, Telnet, SMTP, POP3, NNTP, PPTP, ping, Trace Route, and much more. Additionally, the software provides a powerful and flexible rule-based packet filtering engine that lets you create custom rules for managing inbound and outbound connections.
The software also features a detailed event log that provides a comprehensive record of every activity on your firewall. Events include start/stop, rule addition/deletion/change, session creation/destroy, NAT mapping creation/destroy, packet pass/drop, and much more. A report can be generated from the log files using the SolidShare Analyzer tool, which analyzes the log files and converts them into human-readable texts, tables, and graphs.
Dial On Demand feature allows the client computer to initiate an Internet connection just by placing an Internet request. Additionally, the connection will be automatically hung up when the idle time reaches a pre-configured maximum value.
SolidShare comes with a user-friendly and straightforward management tool that integrates with the Microsoft management console. The management console provides a familiar look and feel, and the Quick Configure Wizard allows you to set up and run SolidShare in minutes. The New Rule Wizard and New Application Wizard make customizing settings a breeze, and remote administration is also supported.
SolidShare acts like a software router, not a proxy server, which makes it much easier to deploy. The software only needs to be installed on the computer that is attached to the modem, and you can use most Internet applications on client computers without any configuration.
