Sprog is a user-friendly visual software for assembling programs by easily connecting different parts together.
The Sprog mechanism is quite simple - the program parts can be selected from an exquisite palette and dropped onto the Sprog workbench effortlessly. Users can then connect the parts with a simple drag and drop feature. Once connected, options can be customized using a properties dialog box.
Once the construction phase is complete, the Sprog machine can be started and operated, reconfigured or re-run as necessary. The robust software architecture allows for seamless integration and smooth performance.
In this latest release, several bugs have been addressed, such as the machine not stopping after syntax error in Perl gear, the broken cancel button in tools/prefs dialog, and the extra file_end events from command_filter. Moreover, certain features have been added, including the ability to rename gears, make gear title and text window fonts configurable, and right-click menu stay visible on click-release. Also, filename = '-' for STDIN in ReadFile.pm has been successfully implemented. Lastly, the mixin classes have been renamed from Sprog::Gear::* to Sprog::Mixin::*.
Overall, Sprog is a power-packed programming tool that can empower everyone to create their own programs, demo systems, and applications without complex coding. Experienced users can create complex programs with ease, while newcomers can use the simple interface and intuitive design to learn and grow their programming skillset.
