SQL Console (SQLC) utilizes ODBC connection to connect with any database and offers an interactive console for executing SQL queries. It also provides a tree view of the tables.
One of the salient features of SQLC is Query Designer, which enables the user to model SQL queries visually. By merely dragging and dropping tables and joins, even the most intricate of queries can be easily created within minutes. Additionally, SQLC also provides complete support for correlated subqueries, customizable SQL functions, and target-mapped function drag and drop operations.
SQLC also features an intelligent SQL query editor, which comes in handy in complementing its other features. The SQL editor has various functionalities, such as the intelligent auto-complete feature, fully configurable syntax-highlighting, and context-sensitive editing, making editing tasks a breeze.
Another valuable component of SQLC is the Connection Manager, a dockable window that maintains an interactive list of all open database connections and metadata associated with each connection. It is the prime information source required for all operations within SQLC. The Connection Manager provides table and view details, constraints, dependencies, stored procedures, functions, and system datatypes, among several other features. It also allows configuration of SQL commands, making it possible to connect to any database even without an ODBC DSN entry.
Finally, SQLC includes ODBC driver information, including the full range of data that can be gathered from an ODBC 3.51 compliant driver. The driver provides enhanced functionality and data transmission capabilities. The software's flexibility and adaptability make it a leading tool in the market for data manipulation and definition.
