This software allows you to generate and verify md5 checksums.
For instance, suppose you want to generate a list of sums for two files, test.bin and test2.bin. In that case, you can easily do it with ssum by typing this command, "ssum -o sums test.bin test2.bin." You can then check them against another copy by typing "ssum -c sums." If there are any segments that don't match, you can utilize the tool to create a rip file using the "-g" option by typing "ssum -c sums -g."
The tool also allows you to extract the necessary data from the good files using the rip file. For this, you can type "ssum -r sums.rip." Additionally, you can use the inject file created by the rip to fix the corruption in the files by typing "ssum -i sums.inj." However, to use the application correctly, you have to compile it by editing the ssum.c file. Open the file and search for "#include," and replace it with "#include".
