Stellar Phoenix HP Unix is a data recovery software for the HP-UNIX Operating System that enables users to retrieve lost data from JFS 3.1, 3.3 (VxFS) file system.
However, with Stellar Phoenix HP UNIX, users have the capability to not only recover their data, but also recover data after partition table errors and cases of deleted, damaged, repartitioned or missing partitions. The software is highly recommended for those experiencing Corrupted Super Blocks, Damage Inode Structures, Corrupt LVM, Errors in Cylinder groups, or Damage OLT (Object Location Table).
Stellar Phoenix HP-UNIX features a three-step process in recovering lost data, utilizing its fully automated wizard. The first step is Evaluation, and here Phoenix identifies the device, locates all partition(s) on the inaccessible disk and displays them in a list. Next, Phoenix moves into the Analysis phase, examining the remains of the file structure and the data area of the inaccessible drive, working out the best path to recover files and directories. Finally, the software enters the Recovery phase, presenting all recoverable files and directories in a tree structure. Users have the flexibility to select any amount of data, from one file to an entire drive, and move it to a safe location.
Stellar Phoenix HP-UNIX offers a variety of key features, including the ability to read sectors from the inaccessible drive without being destructive, an easy Windows-based interface that has a short learning curve, the Save Scan information option, file filter and file mask options, and a complete tree that is displayed in a Windows Explorer-like interface.
