This project provides a method for validating structured documents in a generalized way.
One fascinating feature of this application is that it performs validations based on user-defined Structured Document Definitions (SDDs). Furthermore, it provides an environment for editing documents and developing SDDs.
To make use of the software, you are required to have a JRE of 1.4 or greater. The latest release comes with various improvements and bug fixes.
Notably, the latest release features the addition of images to validate actions, and shortcuts to those actions on the toolbar. It also comes with the automatic closing of the error log tab when there are no errors/warnings encountered for the associated file. Additionally, the use of attribute names and values for tag ambiguity resolution is included.
Bugfixes in the latest release include changes to character entity storage to address memory issues, a fix for a problem with compilation and absolute frequencies being reset to 1. Also, the re-implementation of SDDTree handling in developer to handle memory problems with large SDDs is in place.
Overall, the Structured Document Validator project is excellent software that makes the validation and editing of structured documents a breeze.
