Emulate keyboard and mouse functions with ease for individuals with disabilities using our specialized software.
For those suffering from conditions such as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) or Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) that severely limit their limb movement, SwitchXS is an essential tool. Used by people who are quadriplegic due to an accident, the software offers a range of predefined scanning panels that allow them to move the cursor, click, and type into all standard Mac applications.
Advanced features of SwitchXS include audio-cueing, speech-cueing, key repeat, scanning speed and cycling, mouse speed and movement, and SmartTransparency, which ensures that the scanning panel is partially or fully transparent when no scan is taking place, providing the optimum use of screen real-estate.
SwitchXS is compatible with any HID compliant USB gamepad, joystick, keyboard, and any HID compliant USB mouse or trackball. For those who want to make their own scan panels, SwitchXS also includes LayoutKitchen, an editor that allows users to customize their panels. Additionally, for word prediction in languages using the Roman alphabet, as well as many other languages, SwitchXS can be combined with KeyStrokes.
