SX-IDE is a Linux-based IDE that enables efficient programming of the Ubicom SX28/52 microcontroller. It offers a wide range of features to streamline the programming process.
The initial version, 0.02, only contains the transfer component. However, newer versions now also include the entire IDE, enabling developers to compile their source code and transfer files directly.
It's important to note that this application requires QT4 and glibc, as well as WINE, in order to run properly.
In terms of recent updates, files can now be loaded directly from the command line, using an example similar to "bin/sxide tut001.src". Additionally, the cursor position is now visible in the statusbar, and after assembling, a window will open displaying assembler messages. Furthermore, the IRC_CAL directive is ignored, while the assembler now receives the processor type as a commandline parameter.
Overall, this software application provides an efficient and effective solution for those dealing with assembler files and XGS microcontrollers, offering a range of helpful features and tools for streamlined development.
