The Sysinfo app provides users with system and computer details, presenting important information about the device in a concise and organized manner.
Among the many key features of Sysinfo are its advanced system displays, which provide information on a wide range of system parameters. These include Linux distribution release, GNOME version, Kernel version, Gcc version, Xorg version, and hostname. Sysinfo also provides detailed information on CPU performance, with features such as vendor identification, model name, frequency, level2 cache, bogomips, model numbers, and flags.
In addition to system and CPU performance monitoring, Sysinfo's memory displays offer detailed insights into a system's RAM usage. This includes total system memory RAM, free memory, swap space total and free, cached, active, and inactive memory. Sysinfo also supports IDE interface and SCSI devices for storage monitoring, and provides comprehensive partition size information.
To take advantage of these advanced features, Sysinfo requires certain system configurations. Specifically, it requires GTK+ version 2.4.x, Mono 1.1.13.2, Gtk-sharp2 2.8.0, and Cairo 1.0.2.
Sysinfo's latest release comes with a range of new features and improvements. These include Slackware Linux detection fixes, more applicable formats of used/free memory information, memory info refreshing every 3 seconds with a checkbox added, and fixed mono 1.1.7 API changes. Lastly, Sysinfo is added to GNOME menu as Applications -> System Tools for easy accessibility.
