Tank Tournament is a 2D game featuring tanks with multiple modes, including CTF, DM, and DOM.
The installation process is straightforward. All you need to do is to navigate to the directory that contains the source code of the game and type `./configure' to configure the program for your system. If you are using `csh' on an old version of System V, you may need to type `sh ./configure' instead, so `csh' does not execute `configure' itself. Please note that running `configure' takes some time. It prints some messages that tell which features it is checking for.
Once the configuration is complete, type `make' to compile the package. Additionally, you can optionally type `make check’ to run any self-tests that come with the package. After that, type `make install’ to install the programs along with any necessary data files and documentation.
If you want to remove the program binaries and object files from the source code directory, simply type `make clean'. However, if you want to remove the files that `configure' created, type `make distclean' to compile the program for a different kind of computer.
There is also a `make maintainer-clean' target, but it is only intended for the package's developers. If you use it, you may have to get all sorts of other programs to regenerate files that came with the distribution. With its user-friendly installation process and exciting gameplay modes, Tank Tournament is definitely worth a try.
