This software is a job scheduler that enables you to create time dependencies and chain tasks/jobs together. It is easy to use and provides expressive functionality.
The program's structure is such that you can run the main program, checking for jobs to run. You can run it until 11:55 PM by default. This feature is possible through the use of TaskForest’s main class. It is as easy as using the TaskForest function in combination with the runMainLoop function. The program will then self-monitor and run scheduled tasks.
Alternatively, if you want to see the status of all jobs scheduled to run today, you can utilize the status() function. This feature provides a real-time update on the status of each job in the queue.
Installing TaskForest Job Scheduler is a breeze. Just follow the standard procedure: Perl Makefile.PL make make test make install. The run_wrapper and the main taskforest script then get installed in the bin subdirectory of the installation directory.
The system also comes with several automated tests for your convenience. TaskForest has introduced numerous new tests to improve the reliability of the system, ensuring you get the best experience. If you experience any problems, you can report them to the company, and they'll send you an immediate solution. So far, the program has been tested on both Linux and Mac OS X with great success.
