TclMagick is a Tcl plugin compatible with GraphicsMagick and ImageMagick, enabling image editing features.
To use TclMagick, you will need Tcl, GraphicsMagick, and ImageMagick. Installation is straightforward, requiring you to install TclMagick in a separate directory from the other libraries. If you are downloading from CVS, you will need to run the genconf.sh script, which will run aclocal, autoconf, and automake --add-missing in that order. You should use recent versions of the autotools for best results, as older versions may not work as intended.
Once you have installed TclMagick, you will need to configure it. To do so, run the ./configure script with the recommended arguments: --with-tcl=/usr/lib/tcl8.4/, --with-tk=/usr/lib/tk8.4/, and --with-magick=/home/davidw/install/bin/GraphicsMagickWand-config. These will tell the script where to find the necessary files for Tcl, Tk, and the GraphicsMagick or ImageMagick install. You can also use the --enable-shared option if needed.
After configuration, run make to build the libraries. With TclMagick, you can easily manipulate images and incorporate them into your Tcl projects.
