Teddy is a C++ based 3D graphics library utilizing OpenGL technology.
During its active development phase, Teddy underwent testing and was proven to be functional on three major operating systems: GNU/Linux, FreeBSD and Microsoft Windows. As an external library, Teddy strictly requires the Simple Directmedia Layer, but other libraries such as SDL, SDL_image, SDL_mixer, libjpeg, libpng, and libz are highly recommended.
However, building Teddy on modern setups may not be successful. Nevertheless, if you would like to contact the developer, it is recommended to email them at timo at futuremark.com since their university account may be inactive.
The latest release of Teddy brings several bug fixes and enhancements, such as the addition of support for left-handed coordinate systems (LightWave), directional lights and LightWave light support for point and directional lights. The release also features SWIG support and several changes from defining macros to using static constant class members. The distribution has also been optimized by dropping unused sources and removing the large gl_ext.
Additionally, the developer utilized Valgrind to locate and fix various bugs and memory leaks. All in all, Teddy is a great 3D graphics library well-suited for the needs of a scene graph manager.
