Test Environment Toolkit is a cross-platform tool that provides a consistent testing framework. It serves as a test scaffold for a variety of applications.
Installing TET is easy and simple as installing a .profile for the test suite user. A few steps are required to configure TET3 before beginning, such as changing the directory to TET_ROOT, running sh configure -t lite command for TETware lite, etc. A warning should be noted for BSDI systems using the include directive as some Make utilities may face problems during building. The use of GNU Make Version 3.75 or higher is recommended to fix this issue.
The latest TET software features new updates and improvements, including a full source release, both non-distributed (TET3-Lite) and distributed (Distributed TET3) functionality, bundled contrib distribution in the "contrib" directory, new API support involving languages like Java API, Ruby, Python, PHP-CLI, Tcl, and a POSIX 1003.1-2001 shell API. Besides, the new release also includes a report writer known as "grw." With these new features, TET software provides a comprehensive toolkit for both developers and testers alike.
