This program converts text books into HTML files consisting of separate files for the Table of Contents and each chapter. It includes links from the TOC to each chapter and links at the end of every chapter to the next chapter.
What makes this program stand out is the ability to customize certain properties of the body text. It allows you to add tables, set custom table properties, and define font properties. This feature is particularly useful for users who want more control over the output HTML files.
The output files created by the program are formatted as close as possible to the original text file, preserving the format for indentation, line breaks, and paragraph breaks. The conversion process can take as little as 2.2 seconds on small files, but can take much longer on larger files. I tested an 800kB file with roman numerals as chapter numbers, which took 86 seconds on my machine.
One word of caution: the demo version of the software operates exactly the same as the full version, but it will only convert the first 5000 lines of the book. Additionally, the program will add a comment to the end of each file requesting registration.
Overall, this program is an exceptional tool for converting text format books to HTML files. It's straightforward to use, customizable, and efficient, with the added benefit of preserving the format of the original text file.
