The JGenerator creates Flash media that is interactive and responsive in real time.
The JGenerator frees designers from the tedious and time-consuming task of updating Flash movies each time they make a small change to the content. It works both online and offline, allowing designers to generate thousands of Flash movies using just one template. In online mode, JGenerator runs under a web server and generates Flash movies by request from a browser. This means that the Flash content of your website will always be up-to-date. In offline mode, JGenerator runs in command line and generates static (.swf) movies which can be played back or used as required.
Moreover, The JGenerator provides a Java-based API (Application Programming Interface) for dynamically building Flash movies either from a standalone program or from a servlet. The API supports all versions of Flash file format (.swf, .swt) up to version 6 (Flash MX).
JGenerator is available in two different editions: Enterprise Edition and Community Edition. Enterprise Edition is a commercial version of JGenerator which requires a license, while Community Edition is a free, open-sourced version of JGenerator which can be freely downloaded and used without any restrictions. However, Community Edition lacks some of the features which Enterprise Edition has, and while the developers continue to improve Community Edition, only limited technical support is provided.
In summary, JGenerator is an innovative web server production application that allows designers to create dynamic Flash content with ease. With its powerful features, flexible online and offline modes, and support for all versions of Flash file format, JGenerator is an excellent tool for designers looking to streamline their Flash content creation.
