The Non Sequencer is a Linux-based MIDI sequencer that employs real-time, pattern-based technology to create and edit music with exceptional precision and flexibility.
It's important to note that Non is not a plain MIDI recorder, tracker, software synthesizer, notation editor, or AI system. Instead, it is intended to be one tool in a larger Linux audio toolbox.
One of Non's standout features is that everything happens online and in realtime. This means that music can be composed live while the transport is running, adding to the program's ease-of-use and efficiency.
To use Non, you'll need a few things: FLTK >= 1.1.7 (with 'fluid'), JACK >= 0.103.0, sigc++ 2.0, and LASH >= 0.5.4 (optional).
In the latest release, there have been updates to the build system, minor code and logging cleanups, and bugfixes.
