The Surveyor software enables users to create surveys and share them online with ease.
With The Surveyor, you are not limited to having one single format or presentation. You can mix different question types and presentation styles to create a unique and exciting survey. If you change your mind about question placement, you can quickly fix it with a simple command to move your questions across different pages.
The Surveyor is designed for fast and straightforward survey creation and for data transfer to analysis programs like SPSS. It automatically cleans up errors in the data, which helps minimize the need for transcription errors.
The Surveyor is compatible with both Macintosh and Windows platforms. You can even transfer questionnaire data from one platform to another, allowing seamless collaboration across different teams. Data collection applies to Macintosh, Windows, and Linux platforms supported by WebSTAR, Apache, or IIS web server software. By default, the data collection is in MySQL, but it can adapt to any ODBC/JDBC SQL database.
Limitations may apply, like a 30-day demo license. Still, nothing matches the punctual release of this tool, with the latest features that make it worthwhile. The latest version includes an improved security model and fixes for JavaScript tests. The tool requires either Mac OS 8.6 or later, and for optimal performance, it is recommended to have a G4 with at least a 1GHz processor. A monitor with 1024 by 768 pixels is desirable, and some Java limitations may require a simple editor like BBEdit from BareBones.
Web server deployment specifications may require WebSATR or Apache, together with Lasso 6 or other supported engines. The Surveyor offers automatic support for LassoMySQL and MySQL, but you can switch to any Lasso-supported engine of your preference. All in all, The Surveyor provides everything you need to create and deploy your survey seamlessly.
